Dr. Justin Sweeney
Doctor of Physical Therapy
After moving to Seattle from his hometown on the Big Island of Hawaii in 2007, Justin split his time between pursuing his Bachelors of Arts in Psychology while working part-time as a personal trainer and parkour/acrobatics coach. Justin's personal interest in movement and performance as a parkour athlete has allotted him opportunities to be in various TV commercials as a stunt actor, participate in World Chase Tag, reach the finals in the TV show American Ninja Warrior, and is currently a leading contender in various national parkour competitions.
Justin’s background in psychology and performance movement has had a large influence on his approach to physical therapy treatment. Combining functional movement, manual therapy, implicit learning via environmental setups, and helping his patient’s set and overcome self-determined obstacles; Justin is determined to promote optimal health for all of his patients so that they have the tools to thrive beyond baseline.
In 2020, Justin pursued further orthopedic specialization with the Ola Grisby Institute’ manual therapy residency program.
